Nepal Taekwondo Confederation(NTC) Rules

Competition Rules (Sparring)

  • Sparring matches consist of 2 rounds of 2 minutes each
  • 1-minute rest between rounds
  • Electronic scoring system mandatory for official competitions
  • Flying kicks to head score 3 points, kicks to head, Flying kicks to body and flying punches to head 2 points
  • Punches to head and kick to the body score 1 point

Prohibited Techniques

  • Attacks below the belt
  • Attacks to the back or spine
  • Intentional falling or avoiding combat
  • Grabbing, holding, or pushing opponent
  • Attacking fallen opponent, Stapping out
  • Warning : Lost of temper, insulting, biting or scratching.

National Guidelines

Training Standards

  • Minimum 2 training sessions per week for belt progression
  • Mandatory safety equipment during sparring
  • Age-appropriate training modifications
  • First aid certification for instructors
  • Background checks for all teaching staff

Dojang Code of Conduct

  • Respect for instructors and fellow students
  • Proper uniform and hygiene maintenance
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • No tolerance for bullying or discrimination
